We're Phillies fans until the Cards come to town

We took the kids to the Phillies vs. Cardinals today. Daddy was so excited to sit by the dugout and cheer for his Cards! It was sunny and warm and a great game...even if the Phillies won. Because Penny loves seeing the Liberty Bell ring :)
Thanks daddy for a great family day at the ballpark!
This was the kids 2nd game this week (and this summer). We were at Mondays game against the Brewers for the ARC Alliance disability awareness night. Aunt Missy, Uncle Eric, Team Evan, Miss Lori, Miss Ellen & the Pellish/Boyer crew were there with us to support ARC. Fun times!

Meeting Noah

Our neighbors moved away just before baby Noah's arrival. Three weeks after his arrival, the gang was reunited, new friend included.
We miss Liam and his parents every day! And we love Baby Noah and can't wait to make memories with him ;) These boys are going to give Penny a run for her money...we can't wait to see what kind of trouble they get into as a team!

Colorado Day 2- Drive to Estees, Rehersal, Downtown Estes & Dinner with Family and Friends

Warning- photo heavy post...Day 2 was a busy day...it started off with some super early morning packing...
...followed by a 6am trip to the playground, because that's 8am on the East coast.
After letting some energy escape, we hopped in the car and started our drive up to Estes Park. One of the main highways was closed, so we had to take the longer, windy road. I was a little nervous, so I put Sea Bands on the kids and they both did great. Sometimes, it's nice to take the long way- the views were INCREDIBLE! We saw so many farms, so many mountains and an amazing mountain stream. Take a look at these beauties (shot from the car).

One of the first things we saw when we arrived in the town of Estees Park was The Stanley. This is the hotel where Stephen King's The Shining was filmed. Some of our family/friends were able to take the ghost tour...super cool tourist attraction!
We headed on up to the Della Terra for rehersal. Terra & Bill were rehearsal ready!
The kids had fun exploring while we got ready.

The resort was incredibly beautiful. Amazing views from all sides and gorgeous forest landscapes.
We snapped a quick family pic :)
The Thompson men were dressed to impress.
We headed out to the ceremony site and got down to business.
Mother nature decided to provide a little sprinkle. Luckily, there were tons of umbrellas on hand, and we were able to stay dry and focused.
The umbrellas were quite fun!
If you think these views are amazing, just wait till you see Terra in her wedding dress!
It was so nice to catch up with family!
And to see everything come together...all the planning fell into place!
Pretty ladies!
After rehearsal, we headed off to brunch.
The food was delicious and the videos of Terra & Bill as kids were fun to watch.
Terra and her niece & nephews.
In other big news- someone decided she no longer needs to hide from uncle Chris. Best friends the entire weekend!
After brunch, we headed to explore downtown Estes Park.
The main street is filled with amazing shops, horse & buggy rides and a trail by the stream that was just so much fun!
Our friend Kelsi and her kids came up from Colorado Springs to help us out. Penny & Lauren hit it off right away!
After we explored a bit more, we trekked back to the Della Terra to check into our cabin and then headed out for family dinner. Most of our family had made it to town and it was so great to see everyone together!

Porter was loved on from every which direction and cousins picked up right where they left off at their last visits a few months ago. What a fun night!
Night-night. They all slept tight!

Colorado- Day 1

We arrived at the Philadelphia airport bright and early...kids still in PJ's to find extra long lines. Luckily, we managed to curb check all our bags, and RC took the car to parking while I took the kids to watch for a train (we saw one, which is a successful airport morning in their eyes). We made it through security, got an apple juice for takeoff, visited the potty and arrived at our gate just in time to walk on the plane between A & B boarding. The kids were great on the plane....Penny played princesses and colored. Porter played with his phone and with 45 minutes to go, I caved and gave him my phone to play with.  We arrived in Denver on time and the kids were super happy to learn that we had to take a train to baggage claim.

We picked up our bags and took a shuttle to the rental car, where we surprised Penny with a minivan. She was thrilled to ride around in this sweet set of wheels all trip long (her dream car is a yellow convertible mini van...she's got big dreams).
We grabbed a quick lunch and then went to find our family. We also found a county fair that had mommy's name written all over it. Pa & the Onofray's humored me. The big rides were closed, as was the Corndog stand. But we saw some sweet animals and I snapped this little bit of perfection!

Porter & Penny enjoyed pony rides. Porter so wanted to pet the pig, who was "training" for his 4H Showing. I absolutely love fairs and was so psyched to get to hang out at one!

After the fair, we checked out the hotel pool.
The boys loved the giant water slide and Penny loved the slide that was just her size. Really sweet pool for a Holiday Inn Express.
We cleaned up and headed to dinner at Oskar Blues.
Grammy gifted Penny the most amazing dolls...Penny has not been without them from this moment on.
The food was yummy, but most of all, the company was perfect! It was so great to hang out with everyone. Day 1 was tons of fun!
